NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After posting a thrilling, 1-0, victory against the reining Northeast-10 Champion Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday night, the Merrimack College women's soccer team travels to Syracuse, N.Y. to face the Dolphins from Le Moyne College for a Saturday afternoon battle at Ted Grant Field.

Last Time Out
Merrimack and Southern New Hampshire had numerous opportunities to score, but both goalies stood strong leaving a 0-0 deadlock as the halftime whistle sounded.
After the break Merrimack broke the scoreless streak with the game's first goal. Sophomore Jenna Savi (Dedham, Mass.) found the right side of the net after a short pass from junior Katie Bresciani (Hopedale, Mass.) in the 53rd minute to give the Warriors the 1-0 lead. The lone goal was Savi's third goal of the season and ended up being the game winner.
Senior goalkeeper Nicole Curtis (Billerica, Mass.) recorded five saves in the contest.
Last Season against the Dolphins
- Won last season to Le Moyne, 3-2
- Senior Sami Brady (Rockland, Mass.) and Savi scored the first two goals for Merrimack.
- Dion headed home a loose ball in the box on a feed from former senior back Krista Fazio (Syosset, N.Y.), propelling the Warriors to victory.
- Merrimack held an 24-19 advantage in shorts and 10-1 in corner kicks.
The Warriors:
- Merrimack ranks fourth in the Northeast-10 with 16 goals.
- Savi and Alana Vecchiarello (Peabody, Mass.) lead the team with three goals apiece.
- Danielle Dion (North Grosvenordale, Conn) leads the team with four assists and eight points.
- Curtis ranks fourth in the NE-10 with 28 saves, one save shy of Assumption goalkeeper.
The Opponent:
- Coming off 2-1 loss to New Haven on Tuesday.
- Le Moyne ranks fifth in the Northeast-10 in goals with 11.
- Freshman Rachel Terry is second in the Northeast-10 with seven goals and third in points with 16.
- Terry leads the team with seven goals.
