Women's Ice Hockey to Host Skating Strides Youth Clinic THIS MONDAY!
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Head coach Erin Hamlen and the Merrimack College women's ice hockey team have announced the date and time for the team's first-ever Youth Clinic, which will benefit Hockey East's Skating Strides Program. ALL proceeds raised from the clinic will directly benefit Skating Strides and breast cancer research.
The clinic will be held on President's Day, Monday, February 15 at 12:00 p.m. at Lawler Rink. It will be an hour-long, instructional session for youth players ages 5-14. Each participant also receives a free ticket to Merrimack's Skating Strides game at Lawler on Feb. 19 vs. Vermont. Registration is available ONLINE or in person at the Merrimack Athletics Box Office.

Cost: $10 per person | $25 for groups of 3-5 | $75 for youth teams (15+)
About: The clinic will cover all aspects of the game with a focus on skill-based learning. Players will get the opportunity to skate with and learn from Division I athletes as well as both players and coaches from the Warriors with years of Olympic experience, all while supporting Skating Strides and breast cancer research.
Ages: Ages 5-14 (Groups will be broken up by age during the hour-long clinic).
Coaching Staff: The clinic coaching staff will include members of the Merrimack College Women's Ice Hockey coaching staff, all of which have experience with Team USA, as well as members of the team.
Equipment Needed: Participants should wear attire and equipment that is similar to what they wear for their hockey team's practices and games. You must bring your own helmet, skates, stick and gloves.
Location: Lawler Rink (315 Turnpike Street, North Andover, MA 01845). Locker room/changing area will be provided for before, during and after the clinic.
Registration: Available ONLINE and in person before the clinic or on the day of (visit the Box Office during business hours – Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.). NOTE – for day-of, in-person registrations, please arrive by 11:30 a.m. at the latest.
