NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's lacrosse team will look to get back in the win column when it continues its Northeast-10 Conference slate and concludes a brief two-game road trip with a Tuesday (April 19) night matchup at American International College. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

The Basics
Date/Time:
 Tuesday, April 19, 2016 | 7:00 p.m.
Records: Merrimack (4-9, 1-8 NE-10) | American International (7-6, 4-5 NE-10)
Location: Abdow Field | Springfield, Mass.

Last Time Out:

  • Merrimack dropped a 17-0 decision to second-ranked and unbeaten Le Moyne on Saturday afternoon at Ted Grant Field.
  • Le Moyne staked itself an early lead after scoring 1:35 into the game, setting the tone for a 12-goal first half for the hosts. The Dolphins tallied nine of those goals in the first 10 minutes, and added three more the rest of the way to take a 12-0 lead into the break.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Lauren took over near the midpoint of the first half and finished with three stops in the opening stanza.
  • The Dolphins' defense, however, would continue to shine in the second half, preventing the Warriors from recording a single shot attempt.
  • On the other end, Le Moyne would add five more goals to settle for the final margin of victory.

The Yellow Jackets:

  • Merrimack is 8-2 over the last 10 seasons against AIC, although the Warriors' last win in the series was back in 2013 – a 13-4 win at home on April 9
  • The Yellow Jackets have dropped four out of their last five games and two straight after a 6-2 start to the season; they enter Tuesday night at 7-6 overall with a 4-5 league mark
  • Junior Stephanie Dufresne ranks fifth in the NE-10 with 19 assists and leads the Yellow Jackets with 41 total points, 29 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers
  • Classmate Brennan Riley has found the back of the net a team-high 32 times for the Yellow Jackets, who rank eight in the league in scoring (11.31) and 10th in scoring defense (11.18)
