NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. ā The #18 Merrimack College men's soccer team will host Bentley University, on Sunday afternoon for the NE10 Championship Finals at 1 p.m. from Martone-Mejail Field.

- Merrimack defeated Southern Connecticut, 3-1, on Friday night in the NE10Ā Semfinal game. Senior Mattia Lanzi (Viterbo, Italy), sophomore Aasmund Joedahl (Ridabu, Norway), and freshman Franklin Liam Born (Amsterdam, Netherlands) all picked up goals in the game. Junior Lars Sund (Stavanger, Norway) and sophomore Sebastian Toro (East Boston, Mass.) added assists.
- Sabri Akter scored the lone goal for the Owls in the 89th minute. Senior keeper Lucas Rezende (Weymouth, Mass.) made four saves, three of them coming in the second half.
- It is the first trip to the conference finals since the 2013 season for Merrimack.
Earlier This Season vs. Bentley
- This will be the second time Bentley has come to Martone-MejailĀ Field this year, the first was during the Merrimack Kickoff Classic against Molloy and Caldwell, while the Falcons and Warriors faced off on Sept. 20th.
- The Warriors won that matchup, 2-0, as sophomore Andrea Frassine (Brescia, Italy) scored twice in the game for his first two goals of the season. Senior Michael Dushman (Bedford, Mass.) and Lanzi each picked up assists in the game. Rezende made a pair of saves in the victory.
The Falcons:
- The Falcons have stormed their way through the NE10 Championship, upsetting the #1 seed Adelphi University Panthers, before defeating Le Moyne, 2-1, in the NE10 Semifinal matchup.
- Sean Sullivan and Connor Mote both scored in the victory over the Dolphins.
- Julian Stewart leads the team with 23 points on nine goals and five assists. David Price and Harrison Rapant have split time as keeper for the Falcons.
