MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior attack Hunter McCarthy (Avon, Conn.) became the first active student-athlete on the roster to surpass the 100-point mark for her career after a four-point outing, but the Merrimack College women's lacrosse team dropped a back-and-forth affair against Southern New Hampshire, 17-14, in a Wednesday afternoon Northeast-10 Conference matchup at Larkin Field.

Rapid Recap
- SNHU raced out to a three-goal lead and stretched its lead to as many as four goals midway through the first half before a four-goal lead by the Warriors tied things up at 6-6 with 11:06 remaining in the frame. The Penmen netted two more late in the half, but the Warriors deadlocked the game at 8-all with two tallies in the final 1:16 – including one with 14 seconds left – to make it an even score at halftime.
- Each team traded goals early in the second half before SNHU took control of the contest with a 7-2 scoring run that gave the hosts a 16-11 lead with 12:35 to play. Three straight goals from Merrimack kept things interesting down the stretch, but that was the closest the Warriors would get before a late Penmen goal accounted for the final margin of victory.
