NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College track & field teams had three student athletes earn medals in the final events for the Northeast Conference Championships on Sunday.
Alana Johnson earned a second place finish,
Carla Bouchrouche earned a third place finish and
Aaron Gable earned bronze, while Warriors earned top-ten finishes across events.

Day 2Â Highlights
- Alana Johnson once again bested her own record in the javelin, throwing a 45.90m for a new program and personal best to earn silver in the event.
- Freshman Carla Bouchrouche took third in the 400m hurdles, crossing at 1:03.88 for a new PR in the event.
- Junior Aaron Gable built off of his strong prelim finish to win bronze with a personal best at 14.84 in the 110m hurdles.
- Senior Dan Lovell finished fourth for the men in the 400m hurdles at 54.90, while Samantha LiPetri continued to shine in the 800m, finishing fourth at 2:15.37.
- In women's distance events, Julia Dempsey finished the 5000m in fifth, crossing at 17:52.91, as freshman Ava Mahoney finished the 1500m at 5:02.29 for eighth.
- Three Warriors finished in the top-10 in women's hammer with Hannah Flores taking seventh with a 36.92m throw, Adrianna Buccieri earning ninth with a 35.88m throw, as Taylor Jax rounded out the group with a 34.51m throw for tenth.
- In the men's discus, the Warriors finished with three in the top eight, as Patrick Redmond took fifth with a 45.33m throw, Nathan Quaye snagged sixth with a 45.27m throw, as Kyle Maruca finished seventh with a 44.84m throw.

Qualifying members of both men's and women's teams will travel to New Britain, Conn. to compete in the New England Championships on May 14 and 15.
