Women's Hockey Falls Short To New Hampshire

Durham, New Hampshire

The Merrimack women's hockey team fell short this afternoon in Durham New Hampshire as they were defeated by the University of New Hampshire Wildcats by a score of 3-0.

Merriamack: 0 (4-8-1, 3-6-1) New Hampshire: 3 (5-9-0, 4-7-0)

The game was scoreless to the first 20 minutes, and Emma Gorski made 14 saves in the frame.

New Hampshire jumped into the lead shortly after getting a power-play at just over seven minutes into the second period.

The Warriors hung tough but fell behind by two with less than five minutes to go in the third period and the Wildcats eventually added an empty netter to finish out the day's contest.

Notes and Numbers:
Emma Gorski made 28 saves in the loss.

Teghan Inglis lead the way and shots with five.
