NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack softball team matched run-for-run in a rematch with the Holy Cross Crusaders on home turf as the visitors worked to take the second game of the season between the two on Tuesday.

Scoring Plays
- The hosts scored their first of the afternoon with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first.
- In the bottom of the second Quinnipiac scored again with a double and single before an error brought in the first run of the inning. A home run to left with two on base made it a six run game for the Bobcats.
- Merrimack worked a charge late in the sixth. Jenna Wike sent a double to center with one out before advancing to third on a wild pitch. Madison Cerpa singled through the left side to bring in Wike for the first run of the day. Cerpa was joined aboard when Koshes reached on an error to put two on, but the Warriors were kept from crossing the plate once again.
- With two outs in the seventh the Warriors were ready to jump once again. Courtney Lanpher sent a home run to right field after slicing long shots foul earlier in the contest. Sarah Reisler beat out a grounder to short after Lanpher's home run, with a pop up closing down the rally.

Merrimack will host the final home series of the season against Sacred Heart, with the doubleheader on Saturday set for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
