NORTH ANDOVER, M.A. – The women's lacrosse team hosted Boston University for a midweek out-of-conference matchup. The Warriors and Terriers battled it out, with the Terriers having a comfortable lead most of the way, but the home team had a late push that just nearly brought home a win.
Olivia Valdes lead the Warriors with a career-high five goals in the game.

How it happened:

st quarter:
- The Boston University offense was ready from the first whistle, as they immediate went on a 4-0 scoring run. The Terrier defense was able to hold off the Warriors for almost the whole quarter.
- But, with just about two and a half minutes remaining, the Warriors had a run of their own. Dzialo kicked things off for the Warriors, as she grabbed a loose ball and headed straight for the net.
- Score at end of 1st: 4-3 BU

nd quarter:
- Taylor Darrell, Calkins, and Dzialo each had goals in the second quarter to break up a continuously strong visiting offense.
- Score at end of 2nd: 11-6 BU

rd quarter:
- Catherine Mahanna and Olivia Valdes go back and forth each scoring two for their team in the quarter. Due to their efforts, the Warriors won the quarter 4-3.
- Score at end of 3rd: 14-10 BU
4
th quarter:
- The Warriors left it all out on the field for the final 15 minutes of play, scoring five in a row, to bring them to as close as a one-goal margin.
- Valdes went off, scoring three goals in this quarter alone.
- Her efforts were supported by Sophie Scearbo and Dzialo, but the Terriers scored once more and held Merrimack off the rest of the way to prevent a full come-back.
