North Andover, M.A.—The Merrimack Warriors Women's hockey team collected one point as they pushed the Boston College Eagles to overtime but fell by a score of 3-2 on Saturday afternoon at Lawler Rink.
The Basics
Merrimack (4-6-1, 1-4-1): 2, Boston College (5-4-1, 5-0-1): 3
Celine Tedenby scored her fifth goal of the season when she scored the games opening goal on a great shot off a takeaway, to put the Warriors in front.
Boston College would tie the game at 4:36 of the second and took the lead at 11:47 of the same period.
Merrimack would once again battle back as after receiving a powerplay
Payten Evans would take the pass from her defensive partner Tegan Inglis and score the goal on along range effort to tie the game heading into the third.
With neither team able to score in the final 20 minutes of regulation time, he game headed into overtime, where the Eagles would win the game with just under a minute to play.
