Rapid Recap

Merrimack's offense had started slow in the 2023-24 season but had picked up as of late. That was until Sunday's game in which the offense went completely dormant. The first quarter was a standstill early as both teams couldn't quite put it together on the offensive end of the floor. It was a 7-3 game with four minutes left in the first and then the offenses each started to find a rhythm. Behind an eight point personal surge from Jayme DeCesare which saw her notch 1,000 career points, the Warriors ended the first quarter tied at 15 a piece. The second quarter was all Merrimack as they added to a slim lead they had built early on in the quarter. They would outscore the Big Green 17-7 in the second and go into the half up double digits at 32-22.

The third quarter became very close as Dartmouth inched back in and chipped away at the Warrior lead. The MC lead that was as big as 12 in the quarter was cut down to just 4 to end the third frame. Merrimack was still up 42-38 entering the final period. The fourth quarter started with Dartmouth going on a eight to nothing run to take a four point lead at 46-42. The offense was nowhere to be found and it was not until the 2:54 mark when Diamond Christian made a layup and was fouled. She provided the lone three points in the quarter for the Warriors as they would go on to fall 49-45.
