Orono, M.E.—The Merrimack Warriors Women's Hockey Team was defeated by the Maine Black Bears by a score of 5-2 on Friday night.
Neither team was able to score in the first period but Maine would take the lead with a powerplay goal early in the second. Maine would double their lead minutes later.
Alexa Pongo was able to get the Warriors on the board with a powerplay goal, but Maine would re establish their two goal advantage four and a half minutes later.
Madison Oelkers would score the Warriors second powerplay goal early in the third period, but Maine would score twice more to finish the contest.
