The Merrimack Men's Volleyball team was defeated by the St. Francis (PA) Red Flash last night by score of 3-0.
 
In the first set, The Warriors jumped out to an early lead but then both teams would swap points for the majority of the time but the Warriors would take the lead by two (18-16) but The Red Flash would score the final nine points to take set number one.

In the second set, The Warriors once again had a strong start to the set and took the early advantage, but the Red Flash would take the lead but the Warriors kept it close throughout and battled back from a four point deficit scoring nine of the 13 points, to take the lead late (19-18) but the Red Flash would score the final seven of nine points to take set two.
 
The third set, Merrimack would score five of the first seven points but the set, like the first two would be both teams trading points. The Warriors would go on a second run of scoring five of seven points to kill the Red Flash lead to one, but they would respond with a four point run to make the lead five. The Warriors would respond with scoring four of the next six points but would only score two more as the Red Flash took the set and the win.
 
Notes and Numbers:

• Zyshonne Lang and Matthew Motes led the team with seven kills each.
• Lang, Xander Thesz and Miles Dewhirst also recorded one block each
• Carson Bashford had 23 assists.
• Kyle Standage led the team in digs with seven.

The Warriors are back in action next Friday at 5:00 PM as they're set to face the New Jersey Institute of Technology at Hammel Court.
