The Merrimack College women's lacrosse team hung tough by fell to the Marist Red Foxes by a score of 16-12 on Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened
The Warriors took the lead right out of chute when Sophia Scearbo scored only 52 seconds into the contest,
Natalie Calkins scored to tie the game last in the quarter, but Marist would score late to have the lead after one.

In the second, Marist scored early, but
Olivia Valdes would score two in a row to tie the game at four. The Red Foxes scored seven unanswered before
Georgia Parker scored the Warriors fifth goal of the game.
Olivia Valdes would complete her hat trick shortly after kicking off the first four of the next five goals in the game scored by Merrimack. Scearbo scored her second of the game a player up, and then
Georgia Parker completed her own hat trick midway through the fourth quarter, and then Sophia Scearbo followed suit with three in the game.
Olivia Valdes would score her fifth goal of the contest but the Warriors would lose by four.
