North Andover, M.A.—The Merrimack Warriors Women's Hockey team scored late in the third period but were unable to score the tying with the net empty as they fell short against the University of Connecticut Huskies by a score of 2-1 in their return to Lawler Arena on Friday night.

The Huskies scored the game's opening goal just before the six minute of the first period.
After a scoreless second, Connecticut would grab their second of the contest just past the half way point of the third.
Maria Lindberg scored on a top corner shot to pull the Warriors within one and despite having possession of the puck for the final two minutes with the goalie pulled they were able to tie the score.
