How It Happened
For the second straight night, Merrimack faced off against another ranked opponent this time playing number 11 Loyola Chicago. Loyola would then go on a 7 to 0 run and would never let the Warriors get back into it ultimately winning the set 25 to 17.

Merrimack would kick off the scoring in the second set but once again, Loyola would go up Big midway through. The ramblers were up 15 to 7 before Merrimack started inch their way back making it an 18 to 16 match before Loyola closed it out on a 7 to 3 run, winning the second set 25-19.

Loyola would come out firing on all cylinders to start the third and what would be the final set of the match going on a 9 to 1 lead. Isaiah Vogel and Tristan Miller's hot play just wasn't enough to keep up with the Loyola attack as the Ramblers would go on to close out the third set 25-16.
