Kingston, R.I.—The Merrimack Men's Track and Field Team had a strong showing at the URI Invitational on Saturday afternoon highlighted by 
Cory Couture's win in the 500 meter final.
Cory Couture won the 500 meter final with a time of 1:06.54.
Jon Elie finished third in the 60 meter hurdle event with a time of 8.34.
Mark Sten notched a fourth place finish in the 200-meter final with a time of 23.17, 
Carson Mighty finished 10
th with a time of 23.24.
Jaeden Smith finished seventh in the 400-meter run with a time of 52.46.

Antonio Craveiro finished eighth in the 800 meter final with a mark of 1:58.73.

Neil Letellier finished ninth in the 1000 meter final with a time of 2:38.25.
 
Claudel Chevalier finished sixth in the weight throw with a throw of 15.78 meters, 
Grant Eastin finished right behind in seventh with a mark of 15.71 meters.
