How it Happened
It was a beautiful and very windy Saturday afternoon in the confines of Martone-Mejail Field. The Merrimack women's soccer team celebrated their senior day before the game. The seniors honored were Ella Cormier, Madelyn O'Brien, Aja Alimonti, Emma Rogorzenski, Caroline Howland, Jillian Golden, and Julia Ostermann. The Warriors peppered the Rider Broncs with a plethora of good opportunities in front of the net in the first 15 minutes. Many of these chances were very close to going in, but the Warriors were unable to find the back of the net in the contest. Ella Cormier, who is tied for the most goals in the Merrimack women's soccer D1 era, had 3 shots of her own today. The Lawrenceville, NJ based Broncs ultimately sealed the deal in the 89th minute to send them to victory.
