NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College Men's Basketball team released their non-conference schedule for the 2024-2025 season. The slate is headlined by a trip to California to play Stanford University and Saint Mary's College as well as a flight into Indiana to visit Butler University in the legendary Hinkle Fieldhouse.
The Warriors start off their season at home with a matchup against a familiar foe when they welcome the Vermont Catamounts to North Andover on November 9
th. They will follow that up with the first ever matchup against VCU on November 13
th. Merrimack will return home on November 17
th to host Ivy League powerhouse, Princeton. A November 20
th showdown at Rutgers will be next in line followed by a quick turnaround to play Butler on the 22
nd in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Warriors will play cross river rival, UMass Lowell on November 25
th in Lowell before another long road trip to compete in the Trojan Turkey Tipoff hosted by Troy University in Troy, Alabama. Merrimack will play the University of Texas San Antonio on November 27
th and Troy University on the 29
th.
The blue and gold will have a pair of conference games to kick off the month of December before three more non-conference battles. A home game against Boston University on December 13
th will mark the final non-conference home game on the schedule. After that a cross country flight awaits when they head to Stanford, California to play none other than Stanford University on December 17
th. The trip to California will not be finished until a battle against NCAA perennial tournament team, Saint Mary's College on December 19
th which will wrap up non-league play.
