Women's Hockey Falters Against Connecticut

North Andover, Mass.—The Merrimack Warriors Women's hockey team were defeated by a score of 5-1 by the University of Connecticut Huskies on late Friday afternoon at J.Thom Lawler Rink.

The Basics
Merrimack (10-18-3, 7-14-3): 1, Connecticut (20-6-5, 17-3-4): 5
 
The Huskies scored the lone goal of the first as they scored on the powerplay at 6:46 of the period.
 
In the second, Connecticut would score again on the powerplay at 4:25, but Merrimack would score a goal to cut the lead to one as Mary Edmonds tipped in Hayley Chang's point shot to make the score 2-1 heading into the final period.
 
In the third period, Connecticut would score three more times to close their victory.
