Staten Island, N.Y.—The Merrimack Women's Track and Field Team finished in sixth place in the NEC Indoor Track and Field Championships held this past weekend, highlighted by
Jahaida Gabriel's win in the 60 meter dash and podium finishes by
Ava Mahoney,
Rachel Needham,
Carla Bouchrouche,
Samantha LiPetri and
Leslie MacGrath.
Jahaida Gabriel won the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.71. She also finished third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.15.
Ava Mahoney finished second in the 3000 meter run with a time of 9:51.64. She also finished second in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:57.83.
The team of
Rachel Needham,
Carla Bouchrouche,
Samantha LiPetri and
Ava Mahoney finished third in the 4000 distance medley relay with a time of 12:07.91.
The 4x400 meter relay team of
Kaleigh Lane,
Hunter Laubstein,
Julia Holt and
Riley Paskow finished fourth with a time of 4:02.71.
Kaleigh Lane finished fifth in the 500 meter dash with a time of 1:19.28.
Leslie MacGrath finished third in the high jump final with a height of 1.65 meters,
Molly O'Donnell finished seventh with a height of 1.56 meters.
Katie Sills finished fifth in the pole vault with a height of 3.40 meters, a new personal best and also moved her into 2
nd all time in school history for the event.
Riley Paskow finished sixth in the long jump with a jump of 5.36 meters.
Makayla Champagne finished sixth in the weight throw final with a throw of 14.66 meters.
