AMHERST, Mass.— The Merrimack Women's Track and Field team competed in the Flagship Spring Opener at UMass this past weekend. The meet was highlighted by a Merrimack 4
th place finish and numerous personal records.
Ava Mahoney secured a first-place finish in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:36.56.
Riley Paskow won the Long Jump (5.68 meters), which would also be her personal record.
Alana Johnson came in 1
st with a personal record in the Javelin throw (44.10 meters) on her very last attempt.
Skylar DiMartino finished 2
nd behind her counterpart in the Javelin throw with a distance of 40.67 meters.
Madison Cote placed 3
rd in the 3000-meter Steeplechase with a personal record time of 11:55.09.
The Women's 4x400 meter relay team of
Julia Holt,
Hunter Laubstein,
Kaleigh Lane, and
Riley Paskow placed 3
rd with a time of 4:03.65.
Sydney Connolly,
Hunter Laubstein,
Riley Paskow, and
Jahaida Gabriel participated in the 4x100 meter relay coming in 3
rd place with a time of 48.76 seconds.
Jahaida Gabriel secured 4
th place in the 100-meter dash with a wind legal time of 12.31 seconds.
Anya Cunningham had a personal record in the Hammer Throw with 45.63 meters on her first attempt.
