GREENSBORO, NC – Three members of the Merrimack College baseball team,
Dawson Bryce,
Frankie Ferrentino and
Christian Gemelli, were selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association Northeast All-Region team's as announced by the ABCA Tuesday afternoon.
Dawson Bryce was named to the Northeast All Region First team at third base. Bryce was unstoppable in his first year with the Warriors hitting over .350 while smashing the program's single season hit record totaling 90 hits. He also crushed 16 homers with 59 RBI's with a .619 slugging percentage.
Frankie Ferentino was also named to the Northeast All Region first team as the designated hitter. Ferrentino mashed the baseball all year long on his way to a program record setting 19 homerun season. He totaled 76 hits and led the team with 67 RBI's. He held a .611 slugging percentage while batting .318 in his sophomore campaign.
Christian Gemelli was selected to the Northeast All Region Second team in the outfield. As Merrimack's lead off man, Gemelli was superb all year long. He hit a career best and team best .362 with 84 hits. He would go on to hit 15 home runs and drive in 54 runs, all of which would be career bests for the senior.
