NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. – The Merrimack women's lacrosse team hosted Dartmouth College under the lights at Duane Stadium on Wednesday evening. Despite the Warriors coming up short, the Warriors were again led by
Meghan Dzialo and
Catherine Mahanna on offense. In addition, goalkeeper,
Hayley Kowalczyk had key stops for her team, especially during free position threat, that bring confidence to the freshman.

How it happened:

st Quarter:
- The defensive units for both teams challenged each other's offense, which resulted in a low-scoring quarter
- Catherine Mahanna was the only member of the Warriors to find the back of the net in this quarter. Mahanna battled through the middle, avoiding multiple defenders to complete the task.
Score at end of the 1st: 2-1 Dartmouth

nd Quarter:
- The Big Green added a goal within the first minute of the quarter, but Meghan Dzialo brought the Warriors to within one, with a direct sprint from the 20-yard line.
- Dartmouth found a groove offensively, and would add another three goals before the end of the half.
Score at end of the 2nd: 6-2 Dartmouth

rd Quarter:
- Kowalczyk's performance in the cage helped keep the Warriors in the fight, with some huge saves when the defensive unit was under pressure.
- Georgia Parker earned a free position when she was fouled on a drive towards the net. Parker's shot was rebounded by Mahanna, to bring in the Warriors sole goal of the quarter.
Score at end of the 3rd: 10-3 Dartmouth

th Quarter:
- Dartmouth scored three to start the third, which was an effort stopped by Mahanna, who brought in her third goal of the game.
- Just a minute later, Dzialo collects her second goal of the game on a free position.
- The Big Green never slowed down their offensive momentum, adding another three before the final buzzer.
Final Score: 16-5 Dartmouth
