Men's Volleyball Defeated by Saint Francis Brooklyn

The Merrimack Men's Volleyball team was defeated by the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers last night by a score of 3-0.
 
In the first set, The Warriors struck first with a point. The Terriers responded with a four-point run to take the lead (5-2). Merrimack broke it up with a point and two-point run to be down only by one (6-5). Both teams would trade one and two-point runs with each other in the middle of the first set. The Warriors looked to get back by only being down by two but St. Francis Brooklyn scored a point and won the first set (25-22) and led the match 1-0.


In the second set, The Warriors jumped to an early lead this time around with a three-point run. The Terriers scored a point right after but Merrimack responded with two points (5-1). The Terriers had a three-point run as well as the Warriors with Merrimack still leading the second set (12-8). St. Francis Brooklyn looked to tie up the set with a three-point run but the Warriors held them at bay by two points (15-13). The Terriers would take the lead with a three-point run but the Warriors would hold on. Both teams later in the second set would trade a point until the Terriers finished up the second set with a four-point run (25-22) and continued to lead the match 2-0.
 
In the third and final set, both teams looked to get ahead of each other with the Terriers taking the lead (4-2). The Warriors would score a point each time, however the Terriers would keep them at bay with just a one-point lead. Later in the third set, it was all St. Francis Brooklyn as they continued to score with either two or three-point runs to win the third and final set (25-20) and win the match 3-0.

The Warriors are back in action Friday night March 31 at 5:00 PM as they're set to face Fairleigh Dickinson University in Hammel Court.
