How It Happened
The first set was all Flyers as they started off on a 7-1 run. However, Merrimack inched their way back into the contest as they trailed just 13-8 midway through. It would be Lewis finishing things off in the first with a 6-1 run to win twenty five to thirteen.
The second set was more of the same as Lewis took advantage of Merrimack mistakes and coasted to a 25-12 win taking full control of the match at two sets to zero.
The third and what would ultimately be the final set of the match was the most closely contested. Both teams found a groove but it was the 12
th ranked Flyers capitalizing on some errors to push a sizeable lead. The Warriors would end up losing the third set 25-16.
