NEW BRITAIN, CT. – The Merrimack women's cross country team raced in the 3,000 kilometer run at Stanley Quarter Park where they finished 4
th overall in a field of 11 teams.
How it Happened
Graduate
Ava Mahoney paved the way for the Warriors, navigating the course in 9:56.76 for an impressive top-five finish. Sophomore
Maci Chapman also posted a stellar finish, crossing the line in 10:23.07 to take 27
th. Not far behind, was teammate
Olivia Beaudet who secured 28
th with 10:28.47. Senior
Madison Cote posted a 10:32.24 3k time, good for 32
nd place. Rounding out the Warriors top five was
Marianna Collins who clocked in at 10:33.67 to secure 38
th place. Freshman
Olivia Guckian helped the Warriors to a fourth-place finish with her time of 10:41.99 to claim 45
th place.
The Warriors raced the 3,000 meter course at Stanley Quarter Park against 11 teams including top competitors: Central Connecticut, Stony Brook, and Providence. Merrimack's fourth place finish topped conference foes Siena, Fairfield, and Quinnipiac.
