Women's Basketball Unveils Non Conference Schedule

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College Women's Basketball team released their non-conference schedule for the 2024-2025 season. The slate is highlighted by two major road contests, Big East foe Providence College and a trip to the sunshine state to play the University of South Florida.

The Warriors will begin their first season as a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference but before they begin MAAC play, they will compete in a robust non-conference schedule. Head Coach Kelly Morrone has put emphasis on keeping competition stiff leading up to conference play in recent years having played opponents such as Notre Dame, Utah, Kentucky and USC among others. That will be no different this upcoming season. Merrimack will begin the year on the road when they travel to a familiar foe, Bryant University, on November 4th. They will also play their second contest of the season away from home when they duke it out with Ivy League opponent, the University of Pennsylvania on November 8th. The Warriors will have a quick turnaround with their home opener on November 11th against the University of New Hampshire.

Merrimack will continue the homestand when they play Bucknell University on November 16th. The blue and gold will then square off in their second Ivy League road test of the year with a matchup against Yale University on November 19th. The Warriors will round off the month of November with their third and final home non-conference game of the slate with a battle against NJIT on November 23rd.

Merrimack will head into the final month of the calendar year with three more non-conference games left on the schedule. They will begin December with a flight into Tampa, Florida for a matchup with the University of South Florida Bulls on the 4th. An extended break leads Merrimack into a December 14th clash with Providence College in Rhode Island. They will wrap up the non-conference schedule with another road game, this time facing UAlbany on December 16th. Under a week later their conference schedule will get under way to roll into the second half of the season.
