NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's basketball stays on the road to square off against Brown University on Tuesday, November 26
th. The Warriors come into the game fresh off a 68-42 loss to the College of Holy Cross last Saturday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN+.
Five Things to Know:
- Senior Denia Davis-Stewart is leading the team in points (17.7) rebounds (11.3) and blocks (6.0). She is also leading the country in blocks with 36 on the season. In addition Davis-Stewart is tied for the NCAA DI lead in triple-doubles with her one against UMass on opening night. She is also tied for fifth in the country in double-doubles with four on the season.
- Sophomore Kate Mager is shooting 40% from long range, which leads the starting five for the Warriors. Mager has gone 17-42 from deep this season. She went 4-9 last Saturday in the team's loss to Holy Cross.
- Freshman Kaylee Thomas is shooting 44% from the field and 50% from three this season. Thomas exploded for 18 points in the Warriors win over UNH last week.
- Freshman Jayme DeCesare leads the team with 19 assists. She is also tied for the fewest turnovers with four and is tied for second in steals with eight.
- Brown comes into the game on Tuesday with a 3-3 record with wins over the University of Maine, Central Connecticut State University, and the University of New Hampshire
