EUGENE, Ore. – The Merrimack College women's lacrosse team fell to the University of Oregon Wednesday evening.

The Warriors traveled 3,119 miles to Eugene, Oregon to take on the University of Oregon Ducks. Coming off a week-and-a-half-long hiatus, Merrimack came out of the gate slowly. The Ducks offensive firepower was put on display early on as they scored the first 9 goals of the match. Merrimack would be shut out in the first quarter of action as Oregon led 7-0 entering the second. Freshman
Kaitlin Roche would take matters into her own hands scoring the next two goals of the game, both unassisted.
The Warriors would be down 9-2 early in the third quarter after Roche's second goal of the day. The Ducks would tag on two quick ones before Merrimack was able to respond. Senior
Georgia Parker would score the next, and last, goal for the Warriors making the score 11-3. The 4
th quarter would continue to be all Oregon as they scored the last 7 goals in the match to put the final nail in the coffin. Merrimack would end up losing 18-3 to the Ducks, and now make their way back home to the east coast. The Warriors are battle-tested after playing a plethora of solid opponents, with the hopes of now being prepared for the NEC gauntlet the rest of the way.
